Cruise News

So many stories and so many people! I didn't get to hear every story on board, so now is the time to share them.

Did you do something funny?

Or find yourself wearing two different shoes... oh wait, that was me!

What about your excursions?

Tell us about your time on the cruise!

I want to hear your stories, I'm really tired of my own.

Wasn't this cruise ship fabulous?! It really lived up to its name, "Grandeur." The food was superior, the desserts decadent. I can't imagine anything finer. The hat contest was amazing, wasn't it?! So much talent, such creativity. Even prior to the cruise, we stayed in the hotel offered, the Summerfield Suites; it was great and they had an evening "social"--let me tell you, it was a buffet. What a spread. And it was free. I think my favorite thing though was meeting and talking with fashion/color consultant Shari Braendel. She truly demonstrated the heart of Jesus to me, taking the time to talk privately with me when my heart was aching with a personal grief. She didn't have to do that. Not only is she higher on the totem pole of life than me, but she had other customers she could have tended to. But she made time for ME and I so appreciate it. I am still marveling at all I learned from her.

Since this was my first cruise I have nothing to compare it to, but it was amazing!!! The speakers, the music, the fellowship and yes the food. And yes, I have won two shoes before, but not this time and so glad to hear I am not the only crazy lady to do that. My biggest accomplishement on the cruise was conquering a silly fear of "Jaws!" I am or now was absolutely TERRIFIED of swimming in the ocean because "Jaws" has been fasting for 30+ years just waiting to eat me... HAH! The day we boarded we booked our excursion to snorkel in Cozumel. I almost panicked... And when we arrived in Cozumel our excursion guide even tried to talk us out of snorkeling because the water was so rough. Nope we did it!!! And it was amazing, just another part of HIS beauty that HE wanted me to see!!! Thank you Lord for the blessing and courage to conquer a "silly" fear!!! EVERYTHING You create is beautiful and AMAZING!!! I loved this cruise so much I am ready to go again and booked not just one room this time BUT two!!!

HE also blessed me with some new friends, our dinner table ladies were great and Mary is "my new best friend." She gave me an excuse to go back for more ice cream!!!

Thank you again ladies for a great experience and God Bless! Can't wait to see you in 2012!!
